The Good Samaritan Center was founded in 2003 by Maryknoll Sister Marvie L. Misolas in collaboration with lay members of St.Vincent de Paul in Taichung Diocese, as well as Taiwanese friends of different faith traditions.

The Good Samaritan Women Center logo color is purple signifying the feminine spirit and energy. The logo’s shape is heart representing the importance of compassion in our work with women. The hands embracing the darker color of a woman/human figure represents the acceptance of brokenness and vulnerability of each woman. It also represents the support from others (men and women) who offer support and dedication to help the women towards healing and wholeness
